Board and Train Packages
All of my board and trains are billed weekly to help spread out the cost of training. A dog training form and a copy of your dog's rabies certificate are required for all board and trains. A go home lesson is included in all board and train packages. Each Board and Train includes a slip leash, snap leash, and training treats. They will also get a goodie bag to take home. Please review the policies and requirements page on my website.

This board and train gives your puppy a jump start into being a well rounded dog. Your dog will get to spend time with me doing a variety of things, focusing on socialization and fun. This is not a formal training program and your dog will not come home with any finalized training, but we will add some obedience in just for fun. This is about building a solid relationship with your dog.
Topics We Can Cover:
-
Engagement, keeping them interested in you
-
Positive play and playing with appropriate things
-
Impulse control and learning to be calm when excited
-
Introduction to life saving obedience skills (recalls, leave it, crate training, preparing for vet care);
-
Exposure to new environments, surfaces, and things;
-
Standard puppy skills (working on potty training, jumping, biting, and other bad habits)
This board and train is designed to help your dog see the world in a safe and controlled way. This lays a solid foundation that you can apply training to at a later time. This package does not teach any finalized training and is more exposure training.
A "life skills" week can be added to any board an train as needed to help make sure your dog is successful or if they need additional time to learn. Socialization and overcoming stressors is key to any well trained dog. This is a wonderful option for any dog.
Basic Obecience

$800 Per Week (2-3 weeks long)
Designed for puppies over 6 months of age or dogs that are just starting their obedience journey.
This level of training is the first real introduction for obedience for your dog. We won't work on exposure training quite as much here, so if that is something you are interested in it is recommended to do both packages for puppies. I will use treats, toys, and other fun and motivating things to teach your dog the skills they need. Prong collars may be introduced at this level in a safe manner.
Topics We Can Cover:
-
Basic obedience skills (crate training, recalls, sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, place/tether training);
-
Positive play to enhance your training;
-
Introduction to leash pressure;
-
Prong collar training (if applicable);
-
Introduction to grooming and vet care;
-
Muzzle training (if desired)
Every dog is different and results are not guaranteed. I will not rush your dog to meet a deadline. If it is deemed your dog needs additional time, we will discuss extending their stay or moving to private lessons. Please be aware that all training requires maintenance to achieve lifelong success for you and your dog.
Please Note, one additional week of "life skills" may be needed to help your dog be successful and to work on proper socialization and processing stress or if they need additional time to learn.
Intermediate Obedience

$850 (3-4 weeks long)
Designed for dogs that already have a solid foundation in basic obedience and life skills.
This program is designed to build upon the basic obedience level by testing their training in real-world scenarios. We will cover everything in basic obedience in this program, but will will start giving your dog a bit more freedom to test those skills with increased distractions. An introduction to ecollar training is also available at this level.
Topics We Can Cover:
-
Basic Obedience (recalls, sit, down, loose leash walking, place/tether training, vet care/grooming, muzzle training)
-
Intermediate level obedience (heeling, sit/down stays, recalls under distraction, calm greetings, impulse control);
-
Introduction to distractions and "off leash" reliability;
-
Increasing reliability for basic training skills;
-
Introduction to the ecollar and prong collar to learn how to use tools appropriately (if applicable)
This level of training focuses on real-life scenarios and prepares your dog for the real world. Ecollar training is highly recommended at this level. We can address any concerns you may have about this tool, but it is a wonderful way to communicate with your dog from a distance or in higher stress situations when a leash may not be a practical communication tool for your dog.

We will also establish a clear line of communication using the tools available to us in their toolbox. Ecollar training is highly recommended at this level. We can address any concerns you may have about this tool, but it is a wonderful way to communicate with your dog from a distance or when a leash may not be a practical communication tool for your dog.

Reactive Dog Training

$1,000 Per Week (4 weeks)
Designed for dogs that want to learn intermediate or Advanced level obedience, but need some extra help navigating around other dogs or people
This program works on your dog's issues with reactivity while teaching them to be socially acceptable and obedient in a variety of situations. Human reactivity is also accepted, but dogs with a bite history or may bite me as their handler/trainer will be referred to another trainer that specializes in this area. Off-Leash Training is not available for these types of dogs, but will be practiced if safe to do so in a controlled setting.
Topics We Can Cover:
-
Basic Obedience (recalls, sit, down, loose leash walking, place/tether training, vet care/grooming, muzzle training);
-
Intermediate level obedience (heeling, sit/down stays, recalls under distraction, calm greetings, impulse control);
-
Introduction to the ecollar and prong collar to learn how to use tools appropriately (if applicable);
-
Increasing reliability for basic training skills;
-
Acting appropriately around triggers (dogs, people, etc.) and increasing tolerance thresholds
This is something that I am well versed in, as all of my personal dogs are reactive in some capacity. Owning a dog like this comes with a life long responsibility to be your dog's advocate and to keep everyone safe. It can take years for your dog to overcome these types of issues, but it will always be an underlying issue. These types of dogs will need to be to be permanently managed by their owners no matter the extent of their training.
Every dog is different and results are not guaranteed. I will not rush your dog to meet a deadline. If it is deemed your dog needs additional time, we will discuss extending their stay or moving to private lessons. Rescue Organization Only

$315 per week (Open-Ended)
Designed for those harder to adopt dogs that could use some training. This focuses on make a dog adoptable, versus formal obedience sessions
This program is for 501(c) accredited rescue organizations only. I greatly enjoy behavior modification and understanding how a dog operates over a period of time. This is not a fast-paced training program and I will work with the dog's issues in front of me, whatever that might be. There is no "quick fix" in training, but it is worth giving these dogs a chance that might otherwise be deemed unadoptable or wait years and years for their forever home that may never come.
Topics We Can Cover:
-
House Manners and learning to be a house dog;
-
Potty training and acclimating to a routine;
-
Confidence building and exploring the world;
-
Loose leash walking, recalls, sit, and down
-
Waiting patiently for food, greeting strangers, and being a model, well-rounded citizen
I entered the rescue training world when I was contacted by a wonderful rescue needing my help. This then lead to another rescue and then yet another, where I now work with 3 different rescues at this time. This made me realize my services are much needed an it truly makes a big difference for each of the dogs under my care in finding a forever home.
This program focuses on being able to live with the dog or to work on any overly apparent issue first to help make them adoptable. Then we will work on the obedience as we can to polish it up. Some dogs will learn more skills than others and some (hopefully) will not learn much at all because they are adopted sooner than others. The amount of training on a dog can vary greatly, but I will always be upfront and honest about any issues, their history if I know it, and anything I feel is noteworthy before you would consider fostering or adopting one of my foster dogs.
If you are a member of a rescue organization, feel free to reach out to me to see if a working relationship would be a good fit for us both. I am limited to 4 fosters at a time and my spaces are usually filled, but I do have the option of a waitlist.
